Meet the Trainer

My Story...
My name is Robyn Lucier and I come from a small town in central Massachusetts. I am a graduate of the University of Massachusetts in Amherst, where I earned a B.S. Degree in Psychology with a focus on learning theory and behavior modification.
I spent most of my working years as an Accounting Clerk but always dreamed of someday owning my own business.
My interest in dog training began when I took my Shetland Sheepdog to puppy kindergarten where she earned her AKC S.T.A.R. Puppy distinction. I enjoyed the training so much that I began to consider a career as a professional dog trainer.
In 2011 I enrolled in a year-long course of study at Animal Behavior College (ABC). As part of my studies I participated in the “Students Saving Lives” program by volunteering at a local animal shelter. It was a valuable opportunity to practice my skills on a wide variety of dogs, helping them to be better mannered and increase their chances of being adopted. In July of 2012 I graduated from ABC with honors, earning a certificate as a Dog Obedience Instructor. I then started my business as a professional dog trainer.
In 2016 I earned the Certified Professional Dog Trainer-Knowledge Assessed (CPDT-KA) designation by successfully meeting the high qualifying standards of the Certification Council for Professional Dog Trainers. For more information about the certification and it’s requirements, please visit www.ccpdt.org.
Currently I am a Professional Premium Member of the Association of Professional Dog Trainers (APDT) and an authorized instructor of the Canine Life and Social Skills program (C.LA.S.S.). I spend my free time furthering my education, attending seminars, and spending quality time with my husband and my 3 dogs.
My three girls... Sadie, Roxy, and Hunter
